Dante stepped through the door of the tiny store, gun poised in air. He moved through the ailes, checking for zombies. Nothing. With relief he put the gun away, and began to try to find some food that hadnt already expired. He grabbed a box or two of instant oatmeal, as well as bottles of water. He searched for powdered milk and vitamins, maybe some dried meats. His mood suddenly chad to a pleasant one, he had finally hit a nice little gold mine of supplies. He got to the vitamins section and luckily got a bottle, as well as a large, sealed case of powdered milk. He moved to another isle and found bags of beef jerky. "Oh thank god!" he yell

Dante shook his head of the images that he had seen the last few months. 'All those bodies...all the pain...I need to know...' memories rushed back as he walked in a daze back to the room. Pictures of his mother, father, brothers, his friends and then her. The one this was all for. The one he had remembered being the reason for him to get up every morning. He shook his head again, spitting once more on the floor. Shoving the gun into his pants, he grabbed his pack and moved for the door. The knob turned, but it took a few pulls to open the old door. The battery powered alarm clock buzzed off in Dante's ear, signaling that it was exactly seven-o-clock am. He opened his eyes wearily, black strands of hair in his eyes, he automatically reached over to tap the snooze button on the clock. The ringing stopped, Dante still layed in bed, arm still poised on the clock. He never got up immideiatly, maybe it was because he was still too tired, or maybe it was because he had to remind himself that he was alone. That the world was over run with the re animated corpses of lost loved ones. That he had been seperated from all that he loved...the alarm buzzed again, waking him from his daze. He tapped it
